حول المشروع

تزخر شبكة الإنترنت بالكثير من المواقع الإلكترونية الملفتة للانتباه والمثيرة للاهتمام. ويرغب أي من محبي تصفح الشبكة العنكبوتية الخوض في غمار تفاصيل هذا المقال، أو ذاك العمود الصحفي. ولكن الكثيرين ممن يتحدثون العربية فقط لا يمكنهم القيام بذلك بسبب حاجز اللغة، فالكثير من ذلك المحتوى يتوافر بلغات أجنبية فقط

 من هنا، نبعت فكرة هذا المشروع. فإضافة إلى إتاحة الفرصة أمام الكثيرين لتوسيع خيارات القراءة أمامهم باللغة العربية، تأتي أهمية هذا المشروع من كونه كذلك وسيلة لإغناء المحتوى العربي على شبكة الإنترنت، بل وتحسين نوعيته أيضا.

يوميا، ننتقي مقالا، أو خبرا، أو عمودا صحفيا حول موضوع يهم سكان المنطقة العربية. وليس من الضرورة أن يكون الموضوع سياسيا، فيمكن أن يكون ذل بعد إنساني، أو ثقافي، أو علمي، أو اقتصادي، أو حتى رياضي

ولن ننسى من قبيل العرفان الإشارة إلى المصدر الأصلي للمقال، فصاحبه هو من تعب في كتابته، والبحث فيه، وإجراء مقابلاته الصحفية. ونحن ما علينا سوى تقديمه هو ذاته ولكن بلغتنا الأم: العربية

About the Project

The internet is filled with interesting websites that makes anyone of us eager to read an opinion article or a news story. But for those who only speak Arabic, this eagerness is not fulfilled, as most of the very interesting content is available in other languages only.

Read It In Arabic is a project based on this issue. It gives Arabic speakers more options of reading interesting content in Arabic, as well as enriching the Arabic content online, and increasing it as well.

On daily basis, we will choose a news story, or an opinion piece that tackles an issue of an interest to residents in the Middle East and North Africa. The topic is not necessarily political. It could be a human interest story, a cultural, scientific, economical, or even a sports story.

Out of respect to the people who wrote those articles, went through the hassle of doing their research, and interviewing their guests, the articles will state clearly their sources. All what we are doing is presenting their content in Arabic!
